Geb.jägers in the north of Norway

Hello photo nerds! (Im one of you, so I think its ok for me to use that term)

Just wanted to show some photos of Gebirgsjägers in the North of Norway, and to make Simon Orchards pants wet

The lot is 21 pics big, and if the interest is there, I will show some more!

Well there's some interesting shots.

Can i be picky and say that #1 isn't taken in Norway but in Finland or Russia? Litsa front i'd bet, summer of '41 or later.

The other's could well be Narvik, come up here Øyvind and i'm sure you can place #5, as there's a house in the background along with the truck. I'd start by looking in the area North of the town, towards Bjerkvik and beyond.

Yeas, I have had the same thoughts as well Simon. I would say the lot is splitted. Some is from Finland, some Norway, and the other lot loks like the Alphs. Make any sence? Id say #1 and #3 is not from Norway.

But the next two photos look very like Norwegian houses, and I dont belive you can find these sort of houses in Finland or Russia (I might be totaly wrong here!)

If these shots are from GJR139 as they seem to be then that would make sense, the last two coming from further South in Finland\Russia when they were transferred there in '42.
