It's possible to be a press photo...however, it doesn't have any of the markings to identify it as a 100% press photo. What size is the photo?

It is most likely a press photo, just never marked as such. That is not that unusual. I just picked up a photo myself which also doesn't have any of the usual press markings, but is absolutely a press photo.

It looks like an official taken photo for a album from the regiment or division to dedicate for the soldier as a remember ( Erinnerungsalbum ) what was pretty often done.

It's one that has been stripped from the photo book Grossdeutschland im Weltgeschehen.
It's a duplicate from the press photo, so a little blurry, but it's the original at the time.
