DAK - Before and After Deployment

A pair of photos belonging to the same soldier (second from the left in both photos). The reverse of the first has a handwritten inscription naming the soldiers and indicating it was taken before deploying for Africa on July 3rd, 1942. The second says it was taken on the Egyptian-Libyan border on July 16th.

Nice contrast of DAK men in their issued uniform and later in the more practical and weathered field appearance.
