I believe these pictures were taken after the war as they feature some of the people we saw earlier in the album, except that they are older.DSC05527.JPG

All pictures are original - and this is a good thing

But this album is what they call "made up" album - bunch of unrelated pictures or even small photo groups gathered in one place to make it look like consistent SS photo album.

This album worth only a sum of its parts - no historical value here at all. But some nice SS photos inside anyway

Thank you for your opinion. This is why I posted this album. I would like to say that this is a new purchase and that I'm still within the 10-day window for returns. I have to make up my mind. Otner are welcome to chime in.

Just to close the loop, I would like to say that I've expressed my concerns to the dealer and he has accepted to take the album back. Thank again Michael for your opinion. I was a little suspicious when I received the album. This is why I posted it on the forum.

Hi Stephan,

A patchwork album as has been said, but the photos are good. I guess you have already facilitated a refund, but it would have been worth keeping the album at a partial refund if you can work out a settlement justifying the sum of its parts.

The album is still listed on the Collector's Guild. In my opinion, the description is incorrect. I had different expectations, hence the deception when I received the album. However, I got it for $900, which is reasonnable considering the number of photos in the album. Not for me but perhaps a good opportunity for someone else.
