    Ohh very nice,
I will pm you again. see Mechanics are happy chappies!! Nice load of 37 pattern overalls (the one guy wearing black Drillichanzug) and wearing Knobelbechers. Good uniformity amongst these guys so must be early war/ prewar. It also looks like they are following the directive and not wearing Cockades with makes an interesting change! For those interested when the rest of my items arrive I will do a big thread on Mechanics and what they wore (which in short was pretty much everything!)

      Hi Matt,

glad you like it, it origonaly came with a black cap (only had an eagle on and no cockade ) but that is long gone.

As i said it is actually a post card and what you may not have seen is the airman in the the left background (two others were cropped) carying out drill practice.
      All the best

        Ashley,
What happened to said cap? A real shame if they were split up Ashley, also these guys arent doing drill theyre dressed ready for action, this is what your luftwaffe mechanic wore while out fixing things and refilling coolant tanks or did you mean the guys not visible on the left are doing drill?

          Hi Matt,

the cap was sold back to the origonal vendor but he did not want the card so i kept it. Tp the left of the picture you can see a single airman in the white tunic . But i will try an re-photograph the card to show the others carrying out the drill.

I love that quote. One of the most touching quotes I have ever heard.

                    Matt,

I thought you would like to see my display of a LW Mechaniker with HBT sidecap without insignia. Bill
