Famous? U-Boat Crew Training Photo.

Hi All,

I bought this set of U-Boat crews training photos last year and just found out today, one of them is indeed quite FAMOUS . It was the original photo of
the book "WOLFPACK" written by Philip Kaplan and Jack Currie.

Hello Ken,

It's indeed nice to see that a picture you have is also printed in a book. That doesn't mean the picture in the book has been made from that exact print. I too have some examples of this series. They could be bought at that time at their unit by the U-Boatcrew, like many pictures you see in books nowadays. For example; I am doing a study on the 14. SstA, a Kriegsmarine training unit in Breda. I have seen photos and photo albums from about 30 veterans, and many pictures can be found over and over again. Even private made snapshots are not always unique, comrades wanted a copy, and so it can be that Heinz and Klaus have the same pictures in their photo album form the ship they served on.

Wolfpack is a very nice book, I like to pictures of nowadays and the art very much.

Yes, you're correct, the exact print doesn't means the only print. I just found
