    Das Reich KC ceremony

I bought some pictures but I don't have any information about them.
It is a KC ceremony (Das Reich). I recognize Walter Krüger but who is the soldier who got the KC?

The Oschaf. with the newly awarded Ritterkreuz
          is Alfred Siegling!
He was Spähtruppführer in the 1./SS-Pz.Aufkl.Abt. "Das Reich"

          Have a look here:
          http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de/index_...82&searchword=

His personalfile says he was promoted to Ustuf. on 09.11.44

This is what Moores Führerliste der W-SS say:

          Siegling, Alfred
          Ustuf. 1./Aufkl.Abt.2 - 11.44
          Oscha. 1./Aufkl.Abt.2 - 11.43

          He died in 1985

If you want more details... send me a pm...

          Regards,

thanks all for the information. It was a great help for me.

Now I recognize them (Kreutz and Tychsen)
The pictures were probably taken by a Flemish SS Kriegsberichter.
Did someone ever saw these pictures..?

              Luc

Dear Luc: I believe these were used before by the author Mark Yerger! At least the first 3 anyway. I think it was his Das Reich volume-1 book. Nice photos though!

The Siegling and group photos were in several of my books years ago. Most of those mentioned have full bios with award text recommendations in my German Cross holder series with Bender Publishing also. I've shown others of the same time and seroes as the Kment/Tychsen/Kreutz photo.
