Model signed a KVK Doc ?

Hi Guys,

Well I supose he signed more than one but would the fact that he signed it be mentioned in a soldbuch


I'm really not a document collector but this struk me as very odd as far as I can tell it reads

" U. besitszeugnis dürch Generalfeldmarschall Model"


Which i would translate as "Award document signed by Fieldmarshal Model"

Was this actualy done?

Ok "Lautens" ("Volgens" in't NL) but how would that translate than? Would it still mean that Model signed the doc and was this common practice?

lt. stands for 'laut' and 'laut Besitzzeugnis...' would then mean 'according to the certificate of ownership by GFM Model..' and I would take that to mean that Model actually signed it...Cheers, Torsten.

I suppose it's just a coincidence that you picked out two more mentioning Model but that other FM's would have been mentioned too.

Well learned something new today. Even back than they seemed to care who signed a doc. and found it important enough to mention it in a soldbuch.
