I think that they may be post 1945 DDR KVP (Kasernierte Volkspolizei), but I am not an expert on those...I will post a link to this thread on the DDR forum ... I am sure that somewhere there will certainly be able to confirm if KVP or not... Cheers, Torsten.

I concur with Nico,
Post 1949 - 1952 East German Polizei. If there were a shoulder patch on the left sleeves with GP in it, then they would be Grenzpolizei. Since there is no such visible patch, then I believe they are Regular Polizei.
