    Olympic Urkunde & Wehrdienst album

Hey all, Olympic service Urkunde I picked up on German eBay. This belongs to a grouping I already have. I had posted the soldbuch a few months ago, and the EK 1 and nahkampfspange entries were dismissed as fake. But with the photo in the wehrdienst album, it appears they were genuine. Couldn't scan the "personal details" page, but it has the exact same foto as the Soldbuch.
Anyhoo, had the rare opportunity to put some of a grouping back together, instead of splitting it more. Also picked up about 12 books that belonged to v.d. Heide, such as the 2 volumes of the Olympics, Adolf Hitler sammelbildalbum, Feind im Fadenkreuz, and a number of other period books. All in all, a good haul.
    Enjoy.
    Hank

Inside of the soldbuch. Same pic on the "details" page in Wehrdienst album (not scanned here....)

That's it for now...he also has the Ostvolker medal, and a few others. I've got a number of promotion docs and so forth, and other correspondence and memoirs of his service. One of these days I'll have to sit back with a beer or four, and go through all of it....

Great job in getting other stuff related to this individual and it is good that the EK1-CCC issue was clarified, makes one feel rewarded when succeeding in bringing a group together

Quite an interesting career- attended the Braunschweig SA-Treffen in '31, was a Schutzpolizist, and had quite a distinguished Heer career earning a remarkably diverse collection of awards. What's the ribbon in his buttonhole- something Croatian (appears to be some kind of NDH device attached to it)?

Is that an original Hitler signature on the Olympia-Erinnerungsmedaille Urkunde?

                Thanks for sharing these.

                Best,
                ~ Mike

Just a thought, what's his date of birth?

Given the very late date of several of his awards i'm just wondering wether or not the photo wasn't taken post-war sometime?

Thanks for the comments. I'll try to post a good picture of the details page of the Wehrdienst album. His various awards are listed there.

Not sure about the signature. I would tend to believe it would be auto-pen at best, or probably stamped. Not sure if Adi signed these personally or not.

More from inside the album. These pages summarize duty from just pre-war (Aug 39) to mid 1940
