    hi,

I found this german sign in an estate sale. Can someone translate it? It is some sort of Nazi Labor Union.

    What is this?

    Hi,

sign says that the house where that sign was attached to is the one where the Ortsbauernführer (local agricultural union leader) resides. Organization´s name is Reichsnährstand, their motto below that is Blut und Boden (blood & soil).

    Cheers, Frank H.

      Frank,

I know, you will respond to this thread. Yes, I was waiting
      for you.

      Thanks for the translation...
I thought Hitler's blood and soil order was meant
to exclude foreigner from german land. How could it become
      aricultural issue?

      cheers
      kenneth

        Dear Kenneth,

one is the motto of the Reichsnährstand, the other the Nazi policy. Same words, one time applied to all that grows from german soil (leaning more towards the "soil" side), the other applied to the German blood that has to kept "clean" (leaning towards the "blood" side).

Blut und Boden, for the Nazis two things that formed an unseparable union in their vision.
