      article

      Hello,

Thanks Tommy for the friendly offer but it would be of no use => Im only looking after material from ones own collection, nothing that has been published already because of the copyright issue !!!!!!!

I have already one award document for this very rare award but are there any members who know of collectors who have this rare doc. in their collection or the entry in a Wehrpass or a Soldbuch ???

Thanks for looking but always keep the copyright issue in mind

      Cordial Greetings,

            Hi
You will find information in the following magazins:
            - Info sonderheft: Die kampfabz. des Heeres 1939-1945
J.Hormann or M.Dörr made a completestudy on that topic few years ago.

Stijn you know I have the Wehrpass from Lorenz Probstle, he received the Ehrenblatt or the Anerkennungsurkunde? I hope with your article can solve several doubts I have regarding this rare awards, if not I put then in the forum to put some light on this subject.

                  Probstle

                  Hello Angel,

I have looked it up again and your soldier ( Probstle ) was a Honour roll ( clasp ) winner .

So he might have 2 entry's for this in his papers => " nennung im Ehrenblatt " and " Ehrenblattspange " at a later date .

Im sorry he falls into the category from the honour roll recipients and not in the " Anerkennungsurkunde " recipients .

Thanks for the offered help .

                  Cordial Greetings .

Stijn, Probstle was nammed in 1942 shortly before his death in August 1.942 if he has survived to the end of the war he would have the right to wear the Ehrenblattspange des Heeres, but will be this notated as a different decoration or the original nennung in Ehrenblatt will be enough to purchase and wear the medal?

                      clarification

                      Hello Angel,

As your soldier " Probstle " was named in the " EHRENBLATT " he received probably the following entry in his personal documents => " nennung im Ehrenblatt " so for that time being he only received this entry and his relatives received the award doc. at home.

Iff he was lucky enough to survive untill 1944 ( apparanetly he wasn't !! ) the entry of the " nennung im Ehreblatt " was enough to receive the " Ehrenblattspange " or honour roll clasp and wear it on the uniform .

                      * I have seen a Soldbuch where there was a direct entry of the " Ehrenblattspange " => late war : date 02.02.1945 .

                      * I have also seen the dual entry ( Soldbuch from Oak leaves holder Lt. Christian Braun ) namely first => " nennung im Ehrenblatt " on date of 07.08.1943 and then later after the authorisation of the honour roll clasp " Ehrenblattspange " on 12.05.1944 and both entry's are for one and the same award !!!!!!!!!

So persons who qualifyed and where named in the honour roll of the army before the authorisation of the honour roll clasp could have the dual entry's ( " nennung im Ehrenblatt " & " Ehrenblattspange " as listed above ( iff they where lucky enough offcourse to survive the period in between !!!! )

Persons who where named in the honour roll after the authorisation of the honour roll clasp ( on 30.01.1944 ) received a entry similar to this one : " Ehrenblattspange "

Hoping to bring some cleareness into this
