    Odd photo

Hello all I have this photo in a Sanis man's album and at first thought it might be Hitler's yacht. I did an internet search and found out that it wasn't. What I am curious is does anyone know the name? .....Mike

      Hello,

Your photo shows one of the many varied steam paddle boats that travelled Europe's rivers. I have several photos of these boats including a photo of a river barge flying the same flag.

          Hi MIke,

Here's a couple of photos from my collection.

The first is of the steamer "Tilsit" (on Neman River) named after the city of Tilsit which before 1945 was part of East Prussia. Tilsit was transferred to the USSR along with other sections of East Prussia at the Potsdam Conferrence of 1945.
          Second is paddle steamer Konigstein.

          Best regards,
          Larrister
