unknown Totenkopf KC-holder

I recently bought this photo of an (to me)unknown Totenkopf-KC-holder and was hopig somebody could identify him for me.

Am also wondering if this is realy a KC-holder because of the way the knightscross is portrayed in the photo.

Is it possible that he became Uscha. somewhere in 1943/44? I have a photo of what I think is Christen but I'm not sure.

I can see what you mean, kind of looks like the KC has been imposed on the photo.

Yes, this is defiantly Fritz Christen. He shot 13 T-34 tanks with a PAK gun to get that RK. Fritz was an Oberscharfuehrer by the end of the war, and he lived past the war till sometime recently he died. The only medals I believe he received were just the 3 classes of the Iron Cross.

If you want to read more about the exploits of Fritz Christen and he won that RK, you must get the must read book on the 3rd SS Totenkopf division called Soldiers of Destruction by Charles W. Sydnor Jr. This book is a classic and a must read.
