Well sorry about that Mike, I've no idea why it disappeared. I've just been trying again and come to the conclusion this is the most awkward forum to post a photo in I know of.

Here is an odd one. This is from an SS photo, well at least the fellow next to the truck is SS. It appears to have been painted over but has started to bleed back thru.

Just thinking, isnt there a way to track down a vehicle's unit using the licence plate number??
Isnt't there no register or something for that? I know there is a place online who have info about numbers in the different wehrkretz's.

Tom, Good question. I had that question myself but from what I understand you can Id the wehrkreis but not the particular unit/division. Mike

There is a symbol at www.wwiidaybyday.com for Gen. Kdo. Flak-Korps II le. Flak-Abteilung 74. which is the same as the one in pic #126.

                  Cheers

It's amazing to see so many symbols that are not known. Here is another from a LW press photo. Anyone have any idea what this symbol was used for???

Todd, it IS amazing the amount of Unkown emblems there are. As a secondary focus of this thread, I think is still important at least to have a photo list of the unit emblems that we can document. So maybe later they can be ID'd.
