Thanks Tim for the contribution to this thread. It looks like you photo is of an upturned Russian BT-7, although I could be wrong on this one.

Let's check out the African campaign. Here is a captured British Matilda 2 in November 1941.

Hmmm, not too many pics so far. There has to be more out there in your collections. I'll keep on posting what I have in my collection. Here is a British Valentine Mk I captured in Afrika.

Thanks Rendsburg for sharing the pics. Posts 35 and 37 show Russian BT-7's while post 36 is a Russian T-34.

And the back, which reads something like "here we tow away with tractors the destroyed soviet tanks, the Soviets suffered tough loses in men and material".... but may be I can get an exact translation

The stamped date on this one is 12th May, 1944.

Here is the translation for you Seba:

"1647/ After the capturing of the old main battle lines (HKL).
The destroyed Soviet tanks have been pushed aside with tractors. The Soviets suffered very large losses in men and material.
                          6 May 1944 Atlantic PK-Ulrich"

Should ever want to add this press photo to my collection, please let me know.

                            Thanks - and I will

What do you think that tank was? (Or tank pieces, I should say)

                              Another press photo...

"The gun commander visits the hostile attack..."

I'll post the reverse later, I'm off to work.

                                Seba,

Post 40 looks to be an SU-85 and post 44 looks to be the remains of a T-34.
