    Feldpost "De Ruiter"

I want to post my query in this forum as well, because I didn't get too much viewers with my initial posting. Perhaps someone here can help me any steps further. Here is the link:

Thank you both for your help! It is much appreciated. I am convinced now that it is not Wegner, but Wagner, Erwin Wagner to be more precisely. He was born on 18 February 1918 and served in Regiment "Nordland", Finnische Freiwilligen Bataillon der Waffen-SS and, after graduating the Junkerschule, in the 13. Kompanie of the 49. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Regiment "De Ruiter". He survived the severe fightings on the Narwa-Brückenkopf and the Tannenberg-Stellung, before retreating to Pärnu. It was most probably there that Wagner went MIA, in September 1944, although he is not listed in the database of the VDK.

        With all the best,

        Cees
