Captured German Sub?

I found these pics in my Grandparents stuff.
I think pics are taken in SF.
Is it a German sub?

I could be wrong, but I think it is a Japanese mini sub.

I agree, it looks real close to a photo I own taken in the aleutions of a japanese mini in dry dock..
Also with it being in SF I would lean more to the Japanese idea

This Japanese Midget Sub (Pearl Harbor) is in Frederickburg, TX.
I was there last year.

It is rusty... nobody preserve the internal from corrosion.
Can't believe this historical item end up this way.

Yes, Japanese. Most likely the one that washed up on Oahu during the Pearl Harbor attack. I think it ended it's days being dragged around the country on War Bond drives.
