This was Feldwebel Jupp Schwingen. According to the back of the photo, he made the supreme sacrifice on February 16, 1942. Was Jupp a sort of nickname? If so, what would his actual first name have been? Any help would be appreciated.

I believe Jupp would be his real surname like Sepp was also used.

Interesting. The guy standing on the left seems to be wearing a Coastal Artillery Feldbluse (interior lower pockets)? Unless he just removed the lower pockets...
And he doesn't have the '122' on his shoulder straps like most of the other guys. Do you have any other info on this photo?
