A very nice set of photos and memorabilia from a variety of events which apparently took place in Chicago, probably under the auspices of "Gau Mittelwest" of the German-American Bund. It would be good to be able to identify Bundesleiter Fritz Kuhn at the High Table or in other of these photos, but I don't see him there.

Thank you very much! Tell me please, what is the price in your opinion?
        Regards, Oleg.

Terrific photos. It appears that the banquet was held in honor of Charles Edward, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, who was in the USA at the time.
He must be at the main table, but is hard to make out.
Interestingly, he is not wearing a political/military/DRK uniform (he normally wore an SA uniform, as here):

Many thanks! On mister Charles Edward , very similar is the gentleman sitting under the Flag of America. But maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe you can help me with the price of all this?

            Regards, Oleg.

I was searching your photos for the face of George Froboese, Gauleiter Mittelwest of the German-American Bund, but I couldn't find him there. Froboese lived in Milwaukee but was active in Chicago, as well.

The Bund stickpin is unusual; it's a late piece and not often seen with a red background.

I'm sorry, Oleg, but I have no opinion on prices.

              Cheers,

              Br. James

Hard to positively identify a face at this resolution, but I'd say it's pretty certain that this is the Duke. It looks like him; also, as the guest of honor, it is safe to assume he was sitting at the center of that prominent table in front of the flags.

                  Seating Arrangement ....

That might be the Duke ... but if he was guest of honor he should be seated to the right (viewer's left) of the host. I count one host and 11 guests; the putative location of the Duke places him as third-most-important, etiquette-wise.

In 1980 I arranged a Formal Dining In as a young 2nd Lt ("Mr. Vice") while assigned to the 2nd Bn., 503rd Infantry Regiment (formerly Airborne). We didn't have any Mess regulations, so I wrote to Balhousie Castle (HQ, Black Watch) and asked for a copy of their Mess Rules. I remember that the guest of honor and officers were placed according to seniority right, left, right, left of the President of the Mess.

Here's what the US Navy Mess Night Manual (1986) says:
                  G. DINING ROOM ARRANGEMENTS
The Mess President is seated at the head of the table or in the hosts position at a head table when more than one table is used. Mr./Madame Vice is seated at the foot of the table. The ranking guest is seated to the right of the President, the second senior to the President's left, and so on down the table. If certain individuals are to be honored, such as foreign officers, it is common to seat them higher than their rank would normally dictate.
Flags are placed behind the head table with the national flag on the speakers right if the head table is on a platform or stage as shown below.

Hmmm ... looks like *I* misidentified the Duke. The image HPL2008 posted is much clearer. He's in the #1 position.

Very, very interesting! Thank you all very much.
Let's try to evaluate this. Please write your opinion, it all cost more than 300 dollars? Or is it worth less than 300 dollars?
                      Regards, Oleg.

It is not clear what difference it is to buy or sell!
                          Comrade wants to sell.
