Thank you so much... this is a big help. I have the unit history of KG 100, but it is also written in German haha... So I've been scanning most important pages and then using a character reader to convert to text.. then using Google translator to get the general idea of what is written. Thanks again. I really appreciate it.

      5 July 1943:
      "Notlandung in Olschany
      Abschuss durch russ.
[= russischen] Jäger. Gefr. [= Gefreiter] Eterl (?) erschossen. Linker Motor brennt."
      ["Emergency landing in Olschany
Shot down by Russian fighter. Gefreiter Eterl (?) shot dead. Left engine on fire."

      30 August 1943:
      "Absturz
Angriff auf Fedorowka. Abschuss durch Jäger. 2 Mann schwer 3 Mann leicht verwundet. Soest + Rein +
      "
      ["Crash
Attack on Fedorowka. Shot down by fighter. 2 men severely, 3 men lightly wounded. Soest+ Rein+"
(The red crosses clearly mark the names of KIA crewmen.)

No such thing is obvious from the remaining one:
      17 August 1943:
"St. Jäger. Bereitstellungen im Raume Isjum"
["St. fighter. Assemblies in the Izium area"]
The red "St. Jäger" entry surely is of significance here, but I don't know what "St." means in this context.

Five of the six "blue triangle" ones are for flights during which the plane was damaged and/or crew members were wounded:
      8 July 1943:
"Angriff durch 5 russ. [= russische] Jäger. Treffer linke Fläche, Reifen."
["Attack by 5 Russian fighters. Hits to left wing, tire.]

      10 July 1943:
      "Wäldchen 61212. Funker verwundet"
      ["Forest 61212. Radio operator wounded"]

      29 July 1943:
      "Isy... 3250 ... verwundet"
      ["Isy... 3250 ... wounded"]

      30 July 1943:
      "starker Jagbeschuss. Einmotorenflug. Motor unklar"
["intense fire from fighters. Single-engine flight. Engine unclear"]

      5 August 1943:
"Flaktreffer Rumpf u. [= und] Kanzel"
[anti-aircraft artillery hit to fuselage and cockpit"]

      The sixth one is:
      25 August 1943:
"Jäger 60. Angriff auf Stellungen am Mius"
["Fighter 60. Attack on positions by the Mius"]
Apparently, the blue "Jäger 60" entry is relevant here, but again I can't tell exactly what it means.

No mention is made of damage, crashes, emergency landings, casualties or injuries in any of the entries not marked by a blue or red triangle. So, although two of the "triangle" entries are a bit mysterious, I clearly see the pattern that entries marked by triangles are flights during which incidents occurred. Relatively minor ones are marked in blue, severe ones in red.

I agree! I believe the pilot made it through the war. Unbelievable.
