    Generals Photo

    Good morning,

Could someone help me with this picture? Do you think that it is original? I guess that it is an original copy (war period) of a Negative currently owned by the Bundesarchiv.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards,

    Javi.

Below some war time paper marking, is a short list, that may help you of use when determining photo authenticity :

Gevaert Ridax - also seen just as Ridax ;Belgian produced wartime.

Agfa Lupex - may be also seen just as agfa. But agfa is also post war marking.Agfa lupex is the prewar and wartime marking.German produced. Are war or prewar with 1 or 2 lines below mm.

Agfa Brovira - may also be seen just as Brovira. A lot of photos exist from the 50,s on agfa brovira paper from left over warstocks.Typical scenario, where the soldier takes snaps during war,and photos dont end up being deveoped till years later.Agfa Brovira is still manufactured but is named Agfa Brovira Speed.German produced. Are war or prewar with 1 or 2 lines below mm.

        Leonar - German produced.

        Mimosa - German produced.

Velox - I am yet ascertain origin. But they are a definate prewar manufacturer

        Italian mm photo wartime:

        Tensi - Italian produced

        Ferrania - Italian produced

        Hope this help you

This photo shows visit of W.Frick in Sudetenland in 1938...accompanied by Konrad Henlein in the middle (with face hidden by his arm) and Hans Krebs behind him.

IMO the group is standing before some type of memorial as there are two guards left and right and presenting arms as well as "eyes left" (the other "eyes right"}with an entrance in between them. The group seems to be paying tribute by saluting. The honor guards may be wearing police uniforms based on the dark cuff and rear pleats/buttons. Exactly where/what no idea but that is what I see.
