    EK2 Urkunde

    Hi guys,
I have these EK2 Urkunde, and wonder if they are original, any opinion will be helpful.
Is its possible to truck or know anything about the person who got it, where this document was awarded and the name of the general who signed it?

Both look good - the first one is signed by Herbert von Bröckmann and the second by Maximilian Ritter von Pohl who both won the Knights Cross.

I believe Flak.Abt.99 was serving in the Anzio area around this time, I'm sure our Italian specialists will know all the details.

The Inf.Rgt. 322 EK is slightly unusual in that is is awarded at Korps level. Normally an infantryman in a regular infantry regiment would receive their EK from division. However Inf.Rgt.322 was 'heerestruppe' ie. independent of any parent division, even though such units were more often than not placed more or less temporarily under operational and logistical command of a division.

Thank you a lot for your replays. I don't know much about documents, if i ask a stupid question please be patient

the general of the 7./Inf.Rgt.322 at that time was Hans Jordan (correct me if i was wrong) why general Herbert von Böckmann sign the urkunde instead of him.
Got some information that say the EK2 was awarded in Leningrad, is that right?
Not sure who was the general of the lei.Flak-Abteilung 99 (Sf.) at that time.
Is it possible to know which war they was participate to get this award, and information about the soldiers?

i'm sure it's just lost in translation but neither an infantry regiment nor a flak abteilung were commanded by officers of general rank. I think you just mean commander.

Who signed the documents, or rather which authority did, was dictated by what level of command had the authority to award an EK. In the vast majority of cases it had to be division level or higher. If a smaller unit was directly under command of a higher command, like Korps or Armee then that would be the level required to approve an award.

understanding who had the authority to make an EK award is something fakers often get wrong. There are of course exceptions but in general if you see an EK doc signed by a kompanie, bataillon, abteilung or regiment commander it would almost certainly be fake.

Yes, this would have been around Leningrad.
