Show us your Steyr 1500 photo's!

    Guys,

I am managing the restoration of a 1942 Steyr 1500, plus I have helped another member of this board acquire one for himself. I would love to see in service photos of these great trucks to further inspire us

    Regards

    David

    Evening David:

Hope I type this in correctly. try www.zuckerfabrik24.de/steyrpuch/steyrv8.htm

Also try a search on this forum as several photos have been posted here.

The Axis History Forum also has a lot of pics of your vehicle.
Well, the link almost works and you may have to go to the main site, skip the steyrpuch part and just work your way through the site. Sorry
    Bill

      Bill,

      Thanks for the tips etc.

I am quite familiar with that webpage, and I have searched this forum.

I was hoping to tease out some pictures from the private collections!

Nice photo of a Steyr 1500 soft skinned vehicle

Hello all, I thought I would post this photo I just got today. I missed out on a nice winter spotted camo version of this vehicle earlier but this makes up for it. Enjoy! Mike

Someone PMed me that the above photo is a radio variation of Steyer whose photos he is looking for. I have found another in my archive, so here it is (I hope I am not mistaken).

It took some time but it was worth it!

Thank you all for the recent flurry of picture activity!

Since then I started a forum for owners and enthusiasts of this iconic vehicle. More and more are appearing: http://steyr1500.freeforums.org/

                          Thanks and Regards

                            Dear Mr. Takiguchi,

You are not mistaken -- it is a command car variant of the Steyr 1500A truck. Thank you for taking the time to dig it out of your collection in response to my request!

Look forward to any further discovered gems in your collection!

                            Best regards,
                            Craig (cct)

Hello Craig, Mr Takiguchi and all.

In our group of Steyr Friends we know of perhaps 5 surviving Kommandeurwagons on Steyr chassis. It would be fantastic to think that one of them could be that vehicle. Sadly there appears to be no available archives at Steyr, so we can't check against serial numbers.

                              Best
