Hi all, I have an favour to ask.
This year on February 28th it will be the 75th anniversary of the Pruem river crossing by the 4th US Infantry Division. This battle is less known to the public but I have done a lot of research the past few years. For the 75th anniversary I am working on a website where the reader can find educative information about this battle. The story will be divided in two chapters:
“The drive on Pruem” which covers the American advance through the West Wall in the Schnee-Eifel sector towards the town of Prüm in February 1945. And the “Prüm river crossing” which was part of Operation Lumberjack. This chapter will cover the American advance over the Pruem river until they reached the Kyll river in early March 1945.
These two chapters will be fact based written. And that is where I need your help. Although I can speak and write English, without a doubt I have made a few mistakes in the stories I typed out. I fear, while my English vocabulary is limited, the story will be to long-winded. There I want to have the website as professional as possible I am looking for someone who wants to take the effort in proofing some text I wrote and adjust any mistakes I made. Of course there are official people who do that here in the Netherlands but the stories contain many military words and abbreviations I think its best that somebody with military interest will take a look at it.
No worries, it is not an entire book, but it is not a post-it note either. However I will be happy with every help I get… If it’s only one page or paragraph…
I can send the text I wrote without obligation so you can get an impression first.
Thanks in advance, Nick
