    Doing research at Bundesarchiv in Freiburg

    Hello,
    I am trying to do a little bit of research tied to an individual whom I believe was a panzer officer in the Afrika Korps.

    I may be in the neighborhood of Freiburg soon, where the Bundesarchiv is located.

    Can anyone offer suggestions or tell me about their experience of doing something along these lines with the Bundesarchiv online or with a visit in Freiburg?

    I also have an interest in this archive so please let us know how you get on in terms of the practical side of finding the information; what information you need to begin with, how to proceed & costs etc.
