Inf Rgt 16 (22 Inf Div, X Army Corps) was stationed at Oldenburg (city) in Oldenburg--

"Das Deutsche Heer 1939, Gliederung, Standorte, Stellenbesetzung und Verzeichnis sämtlicher Offiziere am 3.1.1939." Podzun Verlag, 1953. (Only published Rank List for the German army after 1932 except the Majors up seniority list reprint as of May 1944.)

            Hi,

I am a new member in this forum and from Bremen, Germany. If you look for further informations about IR 16 and 22.ID look on my webpage...
            Some further galleries coming soon...

There is a book with the history of this regiment from Oberstleutnant d.R. Bruns - Grenadier-Regiment 16 1939-1945, Druckerei Münstermann, Wiesbaden, 1959. But it is out of print...

@John: If you like, contact me with an email....

                Historic

                Nice site Historic.

                I like the
Neu: Gefallenenverzeichnis 22. ID - Holland
Das komplette Gefallenenverzeichnis der 22. Infanterie-Division bei den Kämpfen in Holland im Mai 1940 ist fertiggestellt und jetzt online.

                and the

                Quellen:
                Friedrich-August von Metzsch - Die Geschichte der 22. Infanterie-Division 1939-1945, Podzun, 1952
                Oberstleutnant d.R. Bruns - Grenadier-Regiment 16 1939-1945, Druckerei Münstermann, Wiesbaden, 1959
                Brigadegeneral a.D. Rudolf Buhse - Aus der Geschichte des Gren.Regt. 47, 1951-1965
                Archiv Historic.de

because your "gefallenenverzeichnis" you took from www.grebbeberg.nl. You should thank E.H. Brongers too for his research and give both credit on your Quellen(as we both know your german quellen didn't mention so many death). All the names on the list are those German soldiers who were buried in Holland. Those who died of their wounds in Germany, or those who's bodies were taken back to Germany a.s.a.p. are not on the list because their's no record of them.

So for those looking for names. ranks and units of German soldiers known to have been killed and buried in the Netherland may1940: www.grebbeberg.nl.

                Cheers,

                  And you'll find a list of wounded German POW's(FJR & LL22) on www.mei1940.nl

                  http://www.mei1940.nl/Verslagen/Gewonde%20Duitsers.htm.

                  And there's a list on www.dordtopenstad.nl:

At the home-page dubbel click "Dordt Open Stad",
Bottompage left "Namenregister gesneuvelden". To have details click the nummer under " Pagina", and you'll find a list with the company, CO etc.

                    Hi Historic,

What a great site do you have!!!
I collect 22 ID and have a few things of this division:

                    Geschoente feldbluse Leutnant IR 16
                    Wehrpass IR 65
                    Geschichte von IR 47
                    Two urkunden IR 47

If you want to have some scans or more info I can send you pictures. Maybe you can use some info for your site.

                    Best regards,

                    Volkbert
