Units in Menton 1944, close to French-Italian border

    Hi all,
Can someone tell me wich units were present during the fighs in Menton 1944, Roya & Bevera Valley, wich is close to the French-Italian border.

I found a website that covers the US forces and mention 1 WH 148. reserve regiment and 2 unkown divisions and regiments.

On the website about the history of Menton, they mention the precense of the SS and Italian blackshirts and WH GJ troops, but no specific unit names.

Thank you if y'all cann help me out.

    Diego

Res.Div. 148 was there on occupation duty, and during the fighting of August+Sept 1944. As of mid september, Grenadier Division 34 took over the area. Menton was in US hands, but the Grenadier Regiment 253 was on the coast just across the border from Menton.
