    Michael,

Do you think that the US Archieves will have more information than you have posted(including photo), or was the resource you used to obtain the above info from the same source?

    Best regards

Hi Paul, the US Archives will have the same info that Mike has posted; the photo (if attached) will be of a small "Soldbuch" sized print.

I did some research on the original owner of an SS dagger that I have in my collection, hence my answer.

      Cheers, Ade.

Thank you for your answer Ade. You have just saved me 34 dollars. I have been doing a lot of internet research with very few leads... I wish I could just see a pic of him in is uniform. There must be quite a few out there(based on the positions held, he must be in few with some pretty noteworthy people)... but if I dont know what he looks like .

        The quest continues...

        Thanks
        Paul

Hi Paul, I would still buy the photocopies of his service records as the price is not high. These are copies of the original documents and not just a list.

          Cheers, Ade.

I just want to take a few moments to thank Mr. Lumsden for his contribution for my quest... I am still awaiting stuff from the national archieves. I will look for the book listed below. He is what Robin had to say:

            Hello Shannon.

            > I'm sorry, but I can't add much to what Mike Miller has already given you.

            > It appears that he was most likely in an administrative position, but

            > beyond

            >

            > that it is hard to say. If you can get hold of a copy of the US Army

            > Personalhauptamt etc. The trouble is that these main SS departments dealt
