      Thx Gerdan.

Any other possibilities to have his career and how he was killed?

The rank of Oberwachtmeister indicates he served in the artillerie, kavallerie/aufklärugs or nachrichtentruppen
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

Depends on what nation buried him, Allied or Axis.

Why are you interested in this guy in particular? Contacting the family can usualy bring more info if it is really important for you to know.

Here are some possibilities. He was MIA in the Paris area on 22 August or so, in fact wounded, and then died in an Allied hospital in Normandy? However with Paris having been mostly liberated by the French, my guess is that most wounded Germans who were not beaten to death wuld have been put int local civilian hospitals.
Other scenario: with the chaos of the fighting in Normandy, Paris may be where he was last seen, or more likely where his unit was located at the time he was finaly reported missing. Or perhaps his officer wrote the family a letter from Paris, leading to the confusion?

                  Hey guys,
                  Thx for the replies.
Just that i have the death card of this guy and it says "killed in Paris ithe 22 of august 1944.
But the guy is buried in La Cambe.

So that's where my interrogations come from.
