I've never seen a Polizei Bataillon (Pol.Btl) abbreviated to 'Polz.Batl' in either personnel files, archive files or award documents.

I am wondering does anyone else know of any examples ?

        thank you Peter!

Not sure, but thats how it is shown on his wound badge award document. Its a nice document group out from private.
Of note Jaeckeln and Keitel signature.

From what I can see there is no problem with this grouping. "Polz." is indeed unusual, but it's only a citation and not a thesis for a university degree...

Pol.Btl 301 was responsible for murdering Russian PoW's and Jews in Poland in 1941, which involved 3./Pol.Btl 301, including executions at Arbeitslager Malkinia. It is believed that they could also of been used to guard the Warsaw Ghetto.
              Based at Koydymovo near Smolensk in 1942 and renamed III/Polizei-Regiment 13 in July 1942 ( http://www.axishistory.com/axis-nati...ei-regiment-13 )
