Does anyone have any information about an Oberstleutnant Ludwig Fischer, a purported holder of the German Cross in Silver (awarded April of 1944)? He had suposedly served with the 97th Infantrie Division - later redesignated the 97th Jäger Division. Any information about this person or the unit would be gravely appreciated.
