He was clearly IIa of AOK 9 for a long time as he was still in that position june 1944.

He was awarded the DKiS 24.2.1943 whilst a Major but that's all i have on him.

Hello Angel !

I can confirm (and extend) the info from Simon, that he was serving for a long time as the IIa Officer of AOK 9.
I found him in that position on 1.11.1941 (as Hauptmann) and he still was on 10.12.44 (as Oberstlt.).
There is no change in that position mentioned after that date, so perhaps he held it until the end, but
[according to the source (Kurt Mehner) ], the info on these late Stellenbesetzungen after end of 1944 is
not completely reliable.

He is not listed in the Stellenbesetzung dated Jan. 1939, so he was either reactivated during the war
or promoted rather quickly.

According to the link below, he was promoted to Major(d.R.) on 1.4.1942 and he also received the KVK II and I (m. Schw.),
besides the DKiS.
