I don't understand what is exactly a Korpsärzte

(concernig this wehrpass of a soldiers o the Sanitätskompanie 476 (mot) inside the Korpsarzt LXXVI. Armeekorps / LXXVI. Panzerkorps)

Hello !

Maybe, what confuses Oriano, is the fact that Korpsarzt was the designation for :
a) a medic officer (that is also what is explained in the link from Gerdan)
but also, at the same time (with same designation)
b) a very small staff/HQ (led by a) ), overseeing/organizing all medical tasks within the Korps,
to utilize the available medical services in the most efficient way.

The staff of a Korpsarzt consisted of :
- Korpsarzt (Korps IVb officer)
- Adjutant
- Heeresapotheker
- 4 San.-Dienstgrade (NCOs/EM.)

From 1943 onward, the Korpsarzt HQ received an own San-Kp. and Kranken-Kraftwagenzug,
which could be utilized to reinforce the divisional medic units.
