Late war unit

Looking for info on Grenadier Battalion 63, a soldier previously serving with Infanterie/Grenadier Regiment 459 from the 251 Infanterie Division ended in this unit in 1.945 wounded on February 5th and received the Wound Badge on March 2nd, 1945.

I can not see any info about this unit, please any help appreciated.

Can you post the unit abbreviation or stamp etc. I think you might be referring to a Reserve or Ersatz unit. By that time they were all active in the fighting but there is no match to a Grenadier Battalion 63 in the unit lists by Tessin. They are not complete by the Ersatz or Res. status is more likely.

I think it was the "Ersatz" Bataillon 63

Here is the citation and, as you see, just Green. Btl. 63. Maybe a mistake, but....

My guess would be it was he was part of this unit and they left off the Reserve in the title etc. The unit as part of Panzergruppe 4 was destroyed in early 1945. The wound badges were usually awarded at the end of the convalescence.
