    Trying to Identify This Knight's Cross Holder

    Well, I realize that this is a LONG shot (like looking for the needle in the haystack), but I thought that I would give it a try.

    I'm attempting to identify the Ritterkreuzträger in this photograph. As an Oberfeldwebel he has received:
    - Eastern Front Medal;
    - Wound Badge, which appears to be a silver example;
    - Infantry Assault Badge;
    - Iron Cross Second class;
    - Iron Cross first Class;
    - Close Combat Badge in Bronze; and
    - The Knight's Cross.
    He does not appear to have received the German Cross in gold.

    If anyone has any thoughts on his identity I would be VERY grateful!

    Thanks, Guys!

    Hi Bill,

    I think he is Franz Bredemeyer.

    Regards,
    George

          Looks like the same tunic with different shoulder straps. I think you owe George a beer!
