Heer units questions, help needed

Just two questions about Heer units:

- Festung Battallions operating in Italy (Ital.Fest.Btl.14 for example): were they costal defences units? I have a soldbuch of a Heer soldier serving there in 1944

- Infanterie Panzer Jaeger kompanien in 1943-44: what kind of equipments/weapons/vehicles did they have?
