it seemed that the unit there was the SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Ausbildungs- u. Ersatz-Bataillon 5. But i found no info about the Kommandeur.

Hi,

if it is a "personal research", maybe the city of Ellwangen may have in their archives some infos about this guy, usually local Kommandeurs may have to "visit" the civilian administration from time to time.

Another possibility may be a local historian.
