    Luftaffe unknown ace?

    Hello guys,
the medal I'm posting here is not a German one but an Italian one. Although this it is closely related to the German Luftwaffe. The medal was established in 1927 , in three classes: gold, silver and bronze, in order to give a tangible sign of gratitude to those who had committed acts of courage and philanthropy on board of aircraft in flight.
It was also reserved to the pilots of the allies and a quite large number of them were awarded to German pilots as in this case: to Capitano ( Hauptmann ) Richard Kolb.
Could anyone give me any information, if available, about this officer?
    Thanks in advance
    Val

Thanks a lot for your information, Dave.
But I've some doubt about this officer because he was in charge of Flak and the medal was awarded only to "those who had committed acts of courage and philanthropy on board of aircraft in flight".
Furthermore do you know if he was on the field in Italy or anywhere the Italian forces were fighting together with Germans?
