Walküre-Einheit Kampfgruppe A/V

Hello,

I am researching a Soldbuch that I have from a soldier that was killed near Straßburg/Kehl in late January of 1945.

His soldbuch has him with Grenadier Ersatz Bataillon 109 through December of 1944.

The next unit he is assigned to is listed as II Rgt. Gr. F. I believe this is one of the Walküre-Einheit Kampfgruppe units but I am not sure.

Does anyone have any information on this unit?

I read it as 5.Kompanie of II.Bataillon, Regimentsgruppe "F".

IMO its another name for Kampfgruppe F/V
Thats one of the Kampfgruppen made by Wehrkreis V in December 1944 and
January 1945 during the "Gneisenau" call (the Walküre call was in Sept.1944).
They were engaged under 19.Armee.

In January/February they made up many Regiments and Divisions in the Wehrkreis V area.
Big possibility that this soldier ended up in one of them.
Division Nr. 805, Division Nr. 905, Grenadier-Brigade 1005.
Grenadier-Regiment Oberrhein 1 to 20 (yes, 20 Regiments).
