Heading for Latvia, anyone been there?

I have a question about ww2 fighting’s in Latvia.<O></O>

Going there soon (Riga), anyone been there? Is it possible to go for daytrips with guide and visit battlefields? If, any good homepages were you can find these trips? Anyone been were the Kurland fighting’s took place?<O></O>

How is the possibility to find things there? Most of it gone?<O></O>

Hello Karl,

Yes there are still things to be found there. You have to go off the beaten path though to do it. There were no 'battle fields' marked as such when I was there(1990) but I kind of followed my nose and where there were clearings by crossroads I searched in the trees and found some interesting things. There are(or were a couple of 'museums' in Riga that had some very interesting things in the basement.
