Major nomination document - officer Wagener identification

Hello,
here is my fleamarket find.
Could someone help me to identify this officer Karl Wagener ?
Any info about him ???

It looks like he was a staff officer. Listed in the May 1941 DAL (See image).
If the same person he won the DKiG as an Oberstleutnant i.G. with XXXX Pz.Korps in February 1943.
There is an Oberst i.G Carl Wagener listed as winning the RK as Chef des Generalstabe 1.Pz.Armee in May 1944.
If this is him, there is a photo as well - finished the war as a Generalmajor... http://www.das-ritterkreuz.de/index_...chword=wagener

Signature in the bottom corner is Generaloberst (and future Generalfeldmarschall) Walther von Brauchitsch.

Based on the Date of Birth it is the same man. Taken from Die Dienstlaufbahnen der Offiziere des Generalstabes des deutschen Heeres 1935-1945 Band 2 by Christian Zweng...
