    Oberstleutnant Laurin

    Good evening everyone

    I would need help to get detailed information and maybe some images of a senior officer of the mountain artillery. These are the only information I have at present:

    Major Laurin, Commander of the Stab Laurin (I Abt./Res.Geb.Art.Rgt. 112) of the 188th Division, March 1944, Gorizia;
    Oberstleutnant Laurin, Commander of the Res.Geb.Art.Rgt. 112 and Art.Kdr.Triest, late Summer 1944, Trieste;
    Oberstleutnant Laurin, Commander of the Geb.Art.Rgt. 1088, March 1945;
    Committed suicide to avoid the capture by the jugoslavian partisans on May 3, 1945, near the obelisk of Opicina (Trieste)

    Thank you and best regards

    You may want to contact Zeller, at the end of the War almost no records were kept.

    Since you are from Holland perhaps you saw this-

    There is more info but it is tough to find it. I would try to find maybe some publications from veterans groups but almost all those guys have passed away now. Good luck

      Hallo Johnny R

      Many thanks for your kind, helpful and immediate response.

      In fact, the last period of the military career of Laurin is pretty clear to me. I just hope to find information about his former career and about his origins, perhaps along with some images of him.

      Thank you again.
