    Namenbuch Deutscher Soldatenfriedhof 1939-1945. Bergen-Solheim (Norwegen), (1960)?

I've been looking for this book for quite some time now, but have come up blank pretty much everywhere. Does anybody know where I might be able to obtain a copy?

I've created a complete database of all those buried in the German war cemeteries in Norway. Is there something in particular you are looking for?

Putting together a database for those soldiers buried at Solheim, I've got all the names, dates, place of death etc, but no units.

      Does your database include units?

As you know, German graves don't include units so including that information would be a tough job. I have tried to include other information where known but it's not something i've used much time on to be honest.

It seems you're quite fortunate with Bergen as many include their place of death so you can often work out their unit from that along with the date. One of the main pieces of information i would like to get my hands on are the records of where the original burials were located prior to being moved after the war. This is especially important with Botn-Rognan. I've heard statskirken might have those records in their archives, with luck they might have recorded all information on grave markers prior to moving the remains.

In some cases, I have been able to identify the unit thanks to the place of death, but when the higher percentage of the deaths were in Bergen, I can only guess

I got all the information about places of birth/date from the volksbund page:
          http://www.volksbund.de/graebersuche.html
I individually searched for every single soldier buried at Solheim through that website, to find the information, so I'm willing to do some work

In total, there are about 1080 soldiers, so I don't honestly know why I bothered, hehe. That was of course before I found out there was a Namenbuch out there somewhere.

I've sent you a PM, so we can perhaps compare notes.
