4 reasons the Axis lost the war - interesting read

another 4 maybe 5 reasons...
I IMHO Hitler's biggest mistakes that cost him the war were ..
1. Declaring war on America a few days after japan attacked Pearl harbor. Think what might have happened if the US never aided or supplied the entire world with our men and equipment.
2. Not listening to his Generals and his General Staff. They wanted to wait until at least late 1944-1945 before any taking any military action. They all thought it would take that long to fully equip and train the Wehrmacht.
3. Attacking Russia. Worse, attacking Russia months later than he wanted to. Rather than early Spring, as stated in the column, he chose to bail out his friend Mussolini who had attacked and was being beaten by Greece. That delayed his start time until June, if he had attacked when he planed to, German troops would have captured Moscow and perhaps ended the war with Russia.
4. Meddling in his Arms and Armaments industries. By his micromanaging arms and arms design, he was responsible for delaying the deployment of the worlds first jet fighter , the ME 262. By having it redesigned as a light bomber, instead of a fighter, production was delayed nearly 2 years. He attempted to stop design on the Mkb 42, forerunner of the Stg-44, delaying its production nearly 2 years. His insistence on making bombers a priority over fighters was a disaster that cost Germany the air war.
And if there was a 5th reason, it would be his paranoid condemnation and persecution of the Jewish religion and people. this lost him untold thousands of very skilled, professional, and military personnel. OK, and attacking Poland..
It wasn't Germany's better equipped and better trained armed forces that lost the war; it was Hitler.
Interesting to wonder what would have been the outcome if Hitler had let his Generals make decisions overall.
But, I would rather be collecting the elements of his forces rather than speaking Geman
another interesting column, battle sites then and now

One of the problems is that the successes of 39-40 emboldened Hitler, he started to believe he knew better than his generals. Especially the French and low-countries campaign where he went against the advice of many of his general staff.Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

fully agreed.
the difference between Hitler and Himmler is that Hitler likes to interfere army
while Himmler doesn't like to do, so the SS has good fightings.
the biggest problem from him is his invasion to Russia. but that is his finial goal.
cant understand why they hate Russia.
