Unknown recipient of the DKIG;..please help??

Dear all, the name of the person I am looking for was since February 1945 serving in Gren.Rgt. 652 which was part of "Infanterie Division Berlin" and GD.
Allegedly, he was promoted to Oberstleutnant and received the German Cross in Gold in April 1945. He was KIA on April 19th 1945.

Before this he was a Major in Gren.Rgt. 976.

Could anyone share more info about this man please?

Wachregiment GD & Gren.Rgt 652 were parts of Infanterie-Divison Berlin rather than Gren.Rgt 652 being part of GD.

I've just done a search of the Ordenstrager using '652' & '976' and there are no high ranking officers from either of those Grenadier-Rgt's listed as being awarded the DKiG.

Thank you, indeed he could be one of those awarded in the "twilight zone" of the last days of the war.. our my source is incorrect of course. Nonetheless, appreciate your input.
