    Soldiers name in helmet?

    I have a German M42 (relic) stahlhelm and it has a soldiers name in it...(liner is in good condition!)
    Hard to read... Scham? or Soham / S?hAM ? Someboy though Johan? (I doubt that)
    (possibly a foreign volunteer SS helmet)

    Thoughts? Besides WASt, is there another site? I tried Volksbund.de but no casualties under any of these names...

    Maybe it is "Schams"?
    Is that a Czech / German name?

      I found 1 person with that name, went MIA in 1943

      Schams Josef 1920 vermisst 1943

      another source shows 1945 (gestorben)
