    Gentlemen,

Would someone be good enough to confirm the following rank promotion dates:

    Generalfeldmarschall Werner von Blomberg
    -Fahnenjunker
    -Portepee-Fähnrich/Fähnrich

    Generalfeldmarschall Fedor von Bock
    -Fahnenjunker
    -Portepee-Fähnrich/Fähnrich
    -Oberstleutnant 00.00.1920

    Many thanks

Axis Biographical Research site has von Bock as an Oberstleutnant on 18th Dec 1920.

I have two conflicting dates for the rank of Oberstleutnant-

      01 Oct 1920
      18 Dec 1920

        Pierce,

Both were cadets and entered the army directly as 2Lts. The day theygraduated is the date of their commissions.

As for Bock, he was promoted Oberstlt. on 18.12.1920 with effect from 01.10.1920, but was not given a commission.

On 01.02.1922 he received a commission dated 01.10.1920 with a seniority of 140 within that date of rank.

Are Fähnrich dates known for Generalfeldmarschalls Walther von Brauchitsch and Günther von Kluge?

            Thank you

Again, both were cadets who entered the army as Leutnants. v. Brauchitsch received his commission upon graduation on 22.03.1900 and v. Kluge graduated as a Leutnant "vorläufig ohne Patent" (temporarily without a commission) on 22.03.1901. On 16.06.01 received a commission dated 22.06.01.
