Karl Weller, Oberfeldwebel Pilot with KG 55

Hello,

I have the honour goblet of Karl Weller who was an Oberfeldwebel and pilot with KG55, flying He111s. The goblet was awarded 2.10.1942.

I know he was awarded the German Cross in gold on 12.7.1943.

I would like to find more about him, find a photograph, and information about his missions and squadron.

Can anyone assist me please?

I do not see Weller in any of the loss listings for KG55 so presumably he survived the war or he was transferred to another unit.

Do you have anything else on Weller?

I can not find anything other than what is already mentioned.....he pretty much stayed with the same unit. On 1.5.43 I./KG 55 was re-designated as III./LG 1. 3./KG55 became 9./LG1.

I will take a look through my references later just to see if he is mentioned elsewhere.
