    Los Josef KIA-MIA

i recently got a a semi relic helmet with the Shell in very good condition except and entery Hole in the front and a dried up liner with traces of blood,,It also has traces of camo paint and 1 thread of a net poking out of the liner band..i dipped the helmet in acid to help improve it and i cam across a name at first it looked like just the initials L J, with a dot over the L but further along the drying liner was a name which looked like Los Josser..I asked a friend to look for him and there wasn't a Los Josser even though it was cleary a Kia helmet but my mate found a Los Josef According to the information available to us Josef lot is missing since 08/01/1944....

In the memorial book of the cemetery Stare Czarnowo we have listed the names and personal data of the above,. You are welcome to order a sample to us.

Please note that in some cemeteries not can pick up the latest version, hence the name of your family members can it possibly is not yet listed.

    08/01/1902

You could find out more by contacting his family members. However chances are that your match is not correct, as the name does not seem to correspond, and so many soldiers died in WWII that you can almost always find something resembling a match.
Can you post a photo of the helmet?
When helmets are initialy recovered, their context is still intact (where found, etc), and it is unfortunate that collectors selling and exchanging the helmets with each other like GI Joes usualy means this context is lost. The place where your helmet was initialy recovered would go a long way in confirming if the match is perhaps correct or not.
